The July Edit: What to Read, Watch and Buy Now

One of my favourite things I used to do as a journalist was to enthusiastically promote what I love, and thought the readers would also love. From culture to food, shopping to interesting articles and people to be inspired by enjoy my monthly dive into my favourite things that I think will quickly become yours.

As the month hots up and we pass the midpoint of the year, July is perfect for a bit of downtime and a bit of a reset.

I'm bereft there is only one more episode of Taskmaster left this series. It's been a weekly dose of joy and silliness and I love all of the cast this year, especially my main celeb crush Jason Mantzoukas, Stevie Martin and the unbothered Queen of sarcasm and flirting Fathia El-Ghorri. Watch for some joy in your life. On the opposite side I've been diving into the new series of The Bear and am happy to be back with Syd and the gang.

I'm a firm believer in the power of where we spend our money, and, where we don't. I was served Olive Odyssey via Insta, the algorithm working its magic for once. More than olive oil, to make each bottle the Palestinian farmers need permission to go back to their lands to harvest and produce under endless restrictions and hardships to continue the traditions of their ancestors. These will take pride of place in our kitchen.

Oh hello Pedro, the internet's favourite Zaddy was out in force this week with his new Vanity Fair profile here . Speaking of magazine's if you are looking for something to read instead of doomscrolling can I introduce you to Dua Lipa's Service 95 website - great book recommendations, interesting articles and thoughtful writing. And if you are looking for some fiction to get lost in I am obsessed with Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil by V. E  Schwab a rich historical fiction about hunger, women, rage, lesbians and vampires - it is so good.

I'm catching up on Glastonbury this weekend and obviously Pulp - purveyors of my favourite wedding song - was one of the highlights but I also highly recommend Self Esteem , Cmat and Haim . I've got gig tickets for the first two and fingers are on the buy button for Haim. Just soak up all of their work.

Shout out to local brands who pull out all the stops. I had a mad idea a few days before my latest model shoot to get Shorthand "Fuck It" caps made to match the new Fuck jewellery. Step in  Mr Tees  who turned these gorgeous caps around in two days. Who wants one for the summer?
