While putting jewellery on can take just seconds, it can also act as an everyday ritual that sets the tone.

It can remind you of who you are, what you’re capable of, and that you’re allowed – no, that you deserve – to feel good too.

When you’re pulled in every direction, it can be easy to feel a little lost. I want to give you your sense of self back, even when life gets in the way.

At Claire Hill Designs, storytelling is woven into every piece. Each piece is designed by me in the Cardiff studio taking inspiration from the hidden beauty and strengh of nature, architecture and language.

Our jewellery isn’t just an accessory; it’s a personal narrative that reflects moments, memories, and meanings unique to each wearer.

Partnering with artisan jewellery makers in Thailand allows me to responsibly craft pieces that allow you to carry your story with you, turning jewellery into a meaningful expression of who you are.

The rebirth

Claire Hill Designs, as it is now, began in 2021. I had been running the brand part-time from relaxing hobby and creative outlet from a busy television career when it became my only income during lockdown.

During long nights packing orders when the house was finally quiet I kept dreaming about what the business could look like if I took the leap to run it full time.

Jewellery was a luxury and not a neccesity, but it was what people were buying to send to loved ones to form connections when they couldn't meet in person or to wear themselves to give a little boost in the darkest times.

Why demi-fine?

By now I had set myself a project and a high-bar check list.

These time capsules, talismans and feel-good accessories needed to be designed to fit seemlessly into busy lives and to be built to last.

They needed to be affordable so you could buy them for yourself, your best mate, your mam or your daughter.

They needed to do as little damage on the environment as possible and be made with ethical working practices.

So I decided on creating demi-fine, made with only recycled silver and 2.5 micron gold vermeil plating (which is five time thicker than normal gold plate).

There was no room for cheap poor-quality jewellery or cheap materials like stainless steel. I wanted people to feel special, seen and like they had a luxurious second skin, so only choose precious metals.

Partnering with two factories in Thailand who shared my ethics and belief that your jewellery should be made responsibly with care, love and attention. Their years of expertise and artisan skill takes my sketches to create them into wearable, tactile pieces of art for you to add your own story to.

Fuss-free returns

We offer 60-day free returns on jewellery (excluding earrings) and free exchanges making gifting and getting the right jewellery easy.

Free Replating

We're so confident in the quality of the jewellery there is a 2-year warranty. And don't worry if your gold ever loses its shine, we'll replate it for free.

Recycling Programme

We believe in creating jewellery that treads lightly on the planet so only use recycled silver. Trade in your old silver for a gift voucher from us.

Versatile Designs

Our jewellery works hard for the money - not only looking great with all your wardrobe. There are resversible designs and 2/3/4-in-one ways to wear many pieces.
