From styling Beyonce to Beckham and makeover shows 100% Hotter, stylist Karen Williams knows how to make the most out of your wardrobe and get you feeling fabulous again.
Claire caught up with her to ask how to put the love back into your fashion looks and what brands to reach for.
What are your must have staples for your wardrobe?
White Jeans, Bodysuits, trainers and an oversized white shirt
What trend piece would you add this year?
Oversized Puffed sleeves
How do you cope with changing body shapes, especially as we get older?
I mean I am going through this right now - my body is changing before my very eyes. I’m embracing instead of hiding and owning my shape. I try to keep trendy and modern and classic as this steers me away from being frumpy
Don’t try to hide your size. Go for dresses and trousers that are super long to the ground as this elongates and try to find pieces that go in at the waist. It’s not about the size its about how you wear stuff.
My mantra is ‘Being Fabulous is not a size, it’s a vibe”. It really is about self acceptance. You either commit to changing your body shape or committing to loving the way you are. Either one takes commitment.
How do you get the joy back in your wardrobe?
It takes time, patience and open mind. You need to give yourself wardrobe appointments or book one with me!
What items should you spend the most on, and who are your go to brands?
A quality white shirt as this can be worn so many ways and great jeans. I just love M&S Mom jeans they are super affordable and great for curves.
Other Stories and Arket and Cos are great for classics and are really nice quality.
What's your best style hack?
Always think about how you can re-purpose some or your items either by taking it in/up or adding fabric to make it work - get creative its good for the soul
What are you must have accessories?
What are your must have accessories? Sunglasses, Gold hoops and my Claire Hill Brave necklace
