Must-have styles for Autumn/Winter Dressing
Bored of your wardrobe but want something different to the same leopard jeans every high street shop and indie brand is selling? Stuck in a rut with your look but don't know what to swap?
Claire asked fashion influencer CarolineStyleHacks, sustainable fashion journalist Hannah Rochell and Gwenno Davies owner of award-winning independent fashion boutique Kiti Cymru what their favourite trends are this Autumn/Winter and their hacks for feeling good in your clothes every time you leave the house.
CAROLINE COOK AKA CAROLINESTLYEHACKS
What are your top trends this A/W? I like to add trends into my current wardrobe. I’m adding browns and burgundy’s with few new key items and accessories.
What piece of clothing makes you feel beautiful? I don’t feel beautiful as such in clothes. I aim to feel confident with my outfits. I’m most confident wearing colour with interesting textures and accessories.
What is your most loved brand this A/W? I can’t name one … but if I had to for knitwear it’s Sezane, for high street heroes it’s M&S and if designer it’s Miu Miu who are super fun this season.
How do you wear clothes to make you feel brave? Always wear outfits you are comfortable in. You will feel good if you are comfy and confident.
What is your must buy right now? Burgundy or brown accessories. A leather bag or a textured pair of shoes or boots.

GWENNO DAVIES, KITI CYMRU
What are your top trends this A/W? Cosy warm tones like burgundy and browns as well as barrel jeans
What piece of clothing makes you feel beautiful? I recently wore the Queens of Archive Renee Dress to BAFTA Cymru & I felt a million dollars!
What is your most loved brand this A/W? We are about to receive a new Stella Nova arrival and the pieces in this collection are incredible. I am also obsessed with Citizens of Humanity jeans this season too.
How do you wear clothes to make you feel brave? As much as I love trends I dress for myself, my body & personal style. If you feel comfortable in what you are wearing, confidence radiates!
Must buy right now? A pair of Citizens of Humanity jeans

HANNAH ROCHELLE, SUSTAINABLE FASHION JOURNALIST
What are your top trends this A/W? I tend to dress seasonally rather than following fads and trends, as it means I get much more longevity out of my wardrobe. I always veer towards pumpkin shades, corduroy and knitted tank tops - my oldest tank was knitted for my mum in the 1970s and is still in beautiful condition.
What piece of clothing makes you feel beautiful? I have a knitted tube skirt and matching top from a brand called Conditions Apply that I always get complimented on when I wear it, so I think it would be that. It's the only thing in my wardrobe that I'd use the cliché 'I feel like a million dollars' when I'm wearing it.
What is your most loved brand this A/W? I've just discovered the knitwear brand Slow Love. Everything is hand knitted in lovely natural yarns and the designs are really fun and uplifting. I have one of the cotton cardigans and I've worn it so much since it arrived.
How do you wear clothes to make you feel brave? I haven't worn heels for thirteen years, and I have to say flat shoes make me feel brave. I think I can tackle things much better when I am comfortable!
What is your must-buy right now? I actually avoid saying I "need" or "must have" when it comes to my wardrobe, because it is so rarely true! I am lucky enough to have a well-stocked wardrobe because of my job and because I have been hoarding clothes since I was old enough to buy them with my own money (I have some pieces that are over 25 years old). That said, we will all always need pants, and for that, you can't beat Stripe & Stare. They're the comfiest I've ever tried and when they're worn out, you can cut them up and put them on the compost heap.
